Create Physical Records of Your Students’ Blogs

Practical Ed Tech Tip of the Week – Create Physical Records of Your Students’ Blogs

One of the great things about having students blog for a semester or a full year is that they create a great record of their thoughts and experiences. At the end of the school year take some time to show students just how much they’ve written.  Saying, “you wrote 35 blog posts” doesn’t have the same impact as showing them 35 pages of written work. Blog Booker is a free tool that allows you to turn the contents of a blog into a PDF. Using BlogBooker is a fairly straight-forward process. BlogBooker walks you through every step of the process for creating PDFs out of Blogger, WordPress, and TypePad blog. The file format of the PDF might get a little askew depending upon the images in your posts, but at the least you will have a record of the words that your students wrote.
